About the Project

Zambezi Shipping Agency is headquartered in Durban and represents global ISO tank operators across Africa. They had no web presence — so potential clients couldn't find them, understand their services, or send an inquiry without making a phone call first.

My role covered the full cycle: research, UX, visual design, and development in Wix Studio.

Challenge

Serious and reliable — without being cold.

The client operates in a niche B2B market where trust is everything. Logistics companies often look either outdated and corporate, or too generic. Zambezi needed to feel serious and reliable without being cold — approachable enough that a new client would fill out a form rather than close the tab.

ISO tank containers are a specialist product. The website had to explain what they are, who they're for, and how to get a quote — in as few steps as possible.

Three Design Decisions
01

One primary action, everywhere

Every screen leads to the same CTA: Get a quote. Header, hero, services page, mobile — the path to conversion is never more than one click away. The quote form itself is minimal: port of loading, port of delivery, container type, quantity. No unnecessary fields.

02

Professional but human

The visual language uses a clean white base with a bold blue accent — serious enough for a B2B logistics company, modern enough to stand out against competitors. Real photography of containers and operations grounds the site in authenticity rather than stock imagery.

03

Mobile-first for a global audience

The client's partners and potential customers operate across Africa and often work from mobile. The entire site was designed mobile-first: navigation, service cards, and the quote form all work cleanly on small screens without sacrificing information density.

Outcome

A live website that gives Zambezi a professional digital presence for the first time — enabling clients across 25+ countries to find their services, understand their offering, and send inquiries directly without a phone call.
